About the role:

We are seeking a self-motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our Property Team, to ensure the smooth operation of our venues. As a Maintenance Engineer at Simmons Bars, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing equipment, facilities, and systems to uphold our high standards of quality and safety.


Your responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment, systems, and facilities to identify and address maintenance needs promptly.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, plastering, painting, carpentry and other repair works.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialised repairs and maintenance projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities on Asana, including work orders and inventory.
  • Uphold safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment for staff and customers.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests outside regular working hours.


Your requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance and repair works.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and performing repairs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Relevant qualifications such as Manual Handling, CSCS, First Aid, IPAF etc.
