About the role:
We are seeking a self-motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our Property Team, to ensure the smooth operation of our venues. As a Maintenance Engineer at Simmons Bars, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing equipment, facilities, and systems to uphold our high standards of quality and safety.
Your responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, systems, and facilities to identify and address maintenance needs promptly.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, plastering, painting, carpentry and other repair works.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialised repairs and maintenance projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities on Asana, including work orders and inventory.
- Uphold safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment for staff and customers.
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance schedules.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests outside regular working hours.
Your requirements:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance and repair works.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and performing repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Relevant qualifications such as Manual Handling, CSCS, First Aid, IPAF etc.
