Job Summary:


As the Senior General Manager at Simmons Bars, you will play a pivotal role in the management and growth of one of our busier sites. You will be responsible for leading a large team, ensuring financial success, and continuously improving the overall guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales and profitability targets.


Key Responsibilities:


Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a large team of 30+
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Develop, mentor and train team members to maximise their potential
  • Identify & nurture future leaders/managers and plan for succession
  • Taking ownership of venue recruitment, ensuring the best candidates are hired within target time frame; partnering with the Talent Acquisition Partner to fill management roles


Financial Management:

  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve weekly sales targets of upwards of £50k
  • Monitor and manage the financial performance of the venue, including cost control, rota planning and budgeting
  • Consistently deliver on EBITDA targets and profitability goals


Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the venue
  • Implement the Simmons values and maintain high standards of service and quality
  • Oversee inventory management, stock control, and procurement
  • Managing internal and external partners to ensure that the venue is clean and safe for both our teams and guests to be in


Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and execute a successful business plan to achieve long-term growth and profitability
  • Identify opportunities for venue improvement and innovation
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor analysis


Guest Experience Enhancement:

  • Maintain a customer-focused approach to ensure an outstanding guest experience from start to finish
  • Address customer feedback and implement improvements accordingly
  • Uphold the brand's reputation and values for excellence
  • Establish and maintain a strong partnership with the Sales and Reservations team to maximise sales opportunities with guest bookings


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or Senior Manager in the hospitality industry, ideally late night bars
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed weekly sales targets upwards of an average of £50k
  • Track record of successfully managing teams of 30 or more
  • Strong financial acumen with a history of consistently delivering on EBITDA targets
  • Demonstrated exceptional leadership and team-building skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding customer service
