About you:
As BDM you will play a key role in developing new business, building strong client relationships, increasing our visibility and customer base. You will use your knowledge of the industry to identify new business opportunities, manage private hires/events, drive offers and campaigns as well as ideas of your own. You will play an integral part of the team and growing the Simmons brand and business. Your main base will be in the office with regular visits to venues and also doing in-person outreach.
Key responsibilities:
• Identify and secure new business opportunities, with a focus on private events, partnerships and sponsorships.
• Proactively seek new business opportunities to exceed sales targets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with event planners, third parties, corporate clients and promoters.
• Drive footfall into your venues and work closely with the ops management team and venue General managers.
• Work with marketing to develop campaigns, offers, events to drive engagement within your venues and the brand.
• Manage multiple venues as your sole responsibility for hires, partnerships, proactively seeking new business and also work as part of a bigger team overall.
• Represent the venues/brand at industry events and networking events to promote brand presence.
• You'll be the brains behind all the events, creating innovative experiences for all our guests, think themed nights, brunches, party packages.
Key requirements:
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role in Hospitality- sales/events/business management.
• Strong knowledge of the industry in London in sales and events.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.
• A creative and proactive approach to driving new business and partnerships.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage various venues, projects and campaigns at once.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Passion for the industry and our brand.
• Collins booking system knowledge preferred but not essential.
